Easter Monday Run: 1st April 2024

Percy and I attended the Easter Monday Run 2024, the first of the season! Starting off at Portadown Golf Club we had a great cooked breakfast, before leaving for the drive around 11:30 am.

We enthusiastically marshalled at the event event as it gave us the opportunity for some photos. The route took us down twisty lanes and winding roads for lunch and shopping at O’Neills garden centre in Monaghan.

Cars decorated for Easter were then judged by the owners of the garden centre and prizes given out. A local photographer took some photos for the paper. After lunch we moved again, heading back towards the golf club for dinner, again along some gorgeous roads.

More photos were taken, and everyone returned safe and sound, a rarity in car runs! We were grateful to have a prize for helping with marshalling the event, however we weren’t lucky in the raffle on this occasion.

he meal was lovely, and the day was excellent. We covered 240 miles from 8:30 am to 21:30 pm and are definitely looking forward to next year.
