About this event:
Scarva Run May 2020
This run will be one of our 40th anniversary RUBY RUNS and will be open only to those traveling in a Morris Minor.
Vehicles will meet up no later than 2.00pm at the carpark in front of B&Q Sprucefield Lisburn (the address is Sprucefield Park carpark) as we must leave no later than 2.10pm. We will be traveling through Hillsborough, Dromore and Banbridge with a final stop at Scarva where every Sunday during the summer a band plays in the Bandstand in the middle of the village.
This is a very popular, free to attend, event where the band plays between 3.00pm and 4.00pm. As you listen the band there is a café/visitor centre right next to the bandstand where ice cream, tea and scones or a full lunch may be purchased.
For those who wish to extend their visit there is a canal walk just beside the bandstand with walks towards Portadown or Newry. The canal paths are very popular in summer and there is a number of key points to see and read about on the way.
