End of Season Run October 2022
On Saturday 1st of October our End of Season Run was held. We had 41 people and 19 cars assemble at Colemans Garden Centre in Templepatrick, for our breakfast. We had time to browse around the shop and there was a surprise.
The management at Colemans were very kind and they had a gift voucher for the best car in their eyes. They chose Susan Shepherds 1956 Morris Minor convertible, which was very well deserved after its full nut and bolt restoration.
We hit the road around 11.30 am and headed towards Lough Neagh to our lunch stop at Tannaghmore Gardens. After a couple of hours we made our way to Gilford, Scarva and Loughbrickland. We travelled through very picturesque countryside as we approached ‘The Anglers Rest’. Here we had our 4 course meal and our ballots.
The second main prize was a car jack and it was won by Maureen McCullough. And our top prize was a drawing of a Morris Minor Traveller at Brownlow House, which was at our event in August. And just by chance it was won by Cyril and Karen McAllister, who actually own the Traveller drawn in the drawing….amazing!!
