Regional Rally July 2009
The weather didn’t look to promising first thing but cleared up nicely. We travelled in convoy the short trip to the Stormont Estate were we had our picnic lunch. Club member Kieran McCarthy JP MLA had arranged special parking in front of Stormont buildings and then a guided tour of the main rooms. This was followed by refreshments in the long gallery.
We then set off in convoy to The La Mon Hotel for 4 course carvery; as with other years this was an excellent meal. Each year, at this event, we present the trophies for most events attended in your Minor.
The main Cup went to Bert Lyttle and runner up shield to John Mclorn. The shield for most assistance to the club from a non-committee member went to Jim McConachie.
A very relaxing and enjoyable day out. A big thank you to Chris and Joan for organising the event.
